Now you want to capture the perfect photo to showcase your work to the world.

Whether you are uploading a snap to Instagram, or entering our Calendar Competition check out our tips below for taking the superb photo everytime.

1. Spend some time scouting for the best location

Whilst it's easy to head outside onto the driveway and take a photo, it doesn't yield the most exciting results. Think about what location will compliment your vehicle, be sure to stick to local laws and regulation when picking a location. Make sure that it is somewhere you can park up safely, without putting yourself or anyone else in danger.

2. Timing and weather can be everything

Picking the right moment with timing and weather can transform a photo. Bright sunshine can prove challening due to the highly reflective nature of the cars body, you may need to reposition the car a few times to get the optimal angle. The so-called 'Golden Hour' for photographers is just before sunset or just after sunrise, when the sun is low enough in the sky to avoid casting large shadows, and the gentle glow provides an amazing background.

3. Get your angles right

The position of your camera will determine the look of your shot, spending time finding the sweet shot can really help with taking an excellent photo.
Placing the camera at a low level can give a dramatic, imposing look.
The most common angle is the three-quater view, shooting towards the front corner of the car. This gives a view of the front grille, the side panel and the hood of the car. This angle also helps with reducing any reflection.
When you park the car consider turning the steering wheel fully away from the camera to give a full view of the wheels.

4. Capture features to show the cars personality

If your Land Rover has a special feature that you want to highlight consider taking a close up of this area. This could be badges, wheels, grilles - consider what angle will portray these the best.

5. Be Creative

Think outside the box when choosing your shot, maybe you have a drone that you can use to get aeiral photos of your Landy to capture it in a bigger frame!

6. Editing the images

Once you have captured your images, play around with the highlights, exposures and shadows etc till you are happy with the look.

7. Practice, practice, practice!

The more you get out and practice your car photogrpahing skills the better you will become. As you increase the number of photos you take you will become more confident at shooting in different light, locations and conditions.
