We have an opportunity for an Expeditor to come and join our Purchasing Department on a full-time basis.
Main Objective
To expedite purchase orders with the aim of maintaining appropriate stock levels and to provide tactical and logistical support to the Lead Buyer, Buyer and Assistant Buyer in support of the Company's business plan, quality standards and operational objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
> To expedite purchase orders by telephone and email and to ensure timely receipt of product into stock.
> To record all information gleaned from the supplier against each order and highlight any issue that will affect stock holding to the relevant member of the purchasing team.
> Liaise with Britpart Warehouse logistics team to arrange collection and delivery of product/orders as necessary.
> Liaise with Britpart Sales, Goods In and Accounts teams on supplier shortages and invoice queries.
> Maintain alphanumeric filing system on a weekly basis.
> Liaise with Quality department on issues concerning samples and returns
> Liaise with Britpart shipping department to assist with the paperwork involved in moving goods from overseas.
> Carry out any other duties as required and as commensurate with role.
